HVAC Service Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across various property types. Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heaters, dehumidifier, etc.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
• Perform quality checks on new HVAC equipment.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or joining.
• Diagnose complex mechanical problems using specialized field service techniques and provide timely solutions.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain repair procedures, maintenance schedules, and system upgrades.
• Drive company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a solid understanding of refrigeration, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
• Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems and ammonia refrigeration equipment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting complex systems in commercial or residential settings.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices confidently.
• Skilled in equipment repair techniques including welding, boiler maintenance, and general property maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or <PERSON> driver certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration), mechanical systems, and property maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments requiring physical activity such as lifting heavy equipment or working at heights.

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
