HVAC Service Technician (Residential & Light Commercial)

We’re growing and looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who can confidently walk into a customer’s home on day one and diagnose issues with furnaces and air conditioners.

Job Summary

As an HVAC Service Technician at Doc’s Heating & Cooling, you’ll work on residential and light commercial systems, handling everything from diagnostics and repairs to maintenance and new equipment installation. This role is for a true field professional—college or classroom time does not count toward the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems (furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, related equipment)
• Perform annual maintenance and system tune-ups
• Install new HVAC equipment and components
• Clearly explain system issues and solutions to customers
• Make honest, cost-effective product and repair/replacement recommendations
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Represent Doc’s Heating & Cooling professionally in customers’ homes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC field experience
• (Classroom, trade school, or college time does not count as field experience)
• Ability to independently diagnose HVAC system problems
• Experience with residential systems and light commercial equipment
• EPA Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE Certification
• Experience with a wide range of HVAC brands and system types
• Installation experience (furnaces, ACs, boilers and related equipment)
