HVAC Service Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across various property types. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing fixtures, and related mechanical equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on air conditioning units, heating systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, appliances, and other mechanical components.
• Read and interpret technical schematics and HVAC design plans to accurately execute service tasks.
• Conduct field service operations including equipment repair, welding repairs, property maintenance tasks, and appliance servicing to ensure system reliability.
• Utilize a variety of tools and equipment including welding gear, hand tools, and diagnostic instruments to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections performed, parts used, and work completed for accountability and future reference.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local codes; operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely when transporting tools or equipment to job sites.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician within the HVAC industry or related mechanical fields.
• Strong construction knowledge with familiarity in schematics reading and HVAC design principles.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair.
• Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems combined with field service expertise.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Skilled in equipment repair techniques including welding and mechanical adjustments.
• Prior experience working on property maintenance projects involving air conditioning systems or mechanical installations is highly desirable. HVAC Service Technician - Requirements

• · A minimum of at least 1 year of HVAC service experience
• · EPA certification (Service Tech position)
• · High School graduate, or equivalent
• · Trade School student or graduate a plus
• · Valid Driver’s license
• · Good Written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
