HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the capability to work with various tools and equipment effectively. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to plumb and build necessary components for HVAC installations.
• Respond promptly to service calls and customer inquiries regarding HVAC system performance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory used.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role with a strong understanding of HVAC/R principles.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. .
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various heating and cooling systems effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license may be required for transportation between job sites. .
