HVAC Technician – Job Summary

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial HVAC systems. You will perform seasonal maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service calls while ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a desire to build a long-term career in the HVAC industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal HVAC inspections
• Troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment
• Complete HVAC service calls efficiently and professionally
• Communicate repair recommendations and service details to customers
• Maintain accurate service documentation and job records
• Follow HVAC safety standards and company procedures
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and communication
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled

Qualifications – HVAC Service Technician

Required Qualifications

• HVAC industry experience required
• EPA Type II Certification required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to manage time effectively and follow established processes
• Ability to perform physical HVAC field work
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• NATE Certification, RMGA certification, or additional HVAC credentials
• Experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Experience performing HVAC maintenance and repair services

Work Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday–Friday day shift
• Some weekends and on-call rotation required
• Typical shifts are 8–10 hours depending on workload and season

5+ years experience as an HVAC residential service technician. Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history. Able to pass a background and drug screening
