HVAC Service Technician – Armor Air TN – Murfreesboro, TN

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and service residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including gas and electric furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, mini-splits, and package units.

Perform system troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, refrigerant testing, airflow evaluations, and performance testing.

Conduct HVAC heating and cooling tune-ups, including inspections, thermostat testing, filter checks, and overall system evaluations.

Identify and recommend system improvements and upgrades to improve energy efficiency and customer comfort.

Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding system conditions, repair recommendations, and completed work.

Complete work orders, service documentation, and customer notes accurately using Armor Air’s service software and mobile technology.

Maintain a clean and safe work area in client homes, service vehicles, and warehouses.

Adhere to all OSHA and Armor Air safety standards and protocols.

Occasionally assist with plumbing and drainage tasks during integrated service calls (training provided if needed).

Be available for rotating on-call shifts and occasional emergency after-hours service.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician (residential experience required).

EPA Universal Certification (Required).

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required).

Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, and rooftops.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Own essential HVAC hand tools; Armor Air provides larger equipment and specialty tools.

Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.

Professional appearance and attitude; reliable, punctual, and solution-oriented.

Comfortable using service software and smartphone-based work order systems.

Preferred: NATE certification and/or experience with indoor air quality systems.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
