HVAC Service Technician

Duties:

• Work hours Full Time, 8AM-5PM, with little overtime and very few weekends.
• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, refrigeration and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
• Travel to job sites and work with office to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are communicated to customer.
• Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis.
• Maintain assigned work vehicle and report any mechanical issues.
• Make sure vehicle has proper stock, parts, tools and safety equipment.
• Understand company pricing and generate service invoice at job site. Electronically process credit card payments. Obtain correct customer information including email address and signature at completion of job.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival (make, model, serial number).
• Ability to diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain to customer in detail what the issue is and what needs to be done to correct it.
• Participate in any provided training opportunities.
• Identify and report to supervisor any potential opportunities for additional business.

Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC-R service issues.
• Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure done is done correctly the first time.

Other Requirements:

• Well groomed, neat appearance
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass drug screening
• Be able to climb, carry ladders. Push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items. Work from heights or in small crawl spaces.
• Observe company procedures and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate time records.
• Work as part of a team.
