HVAC Technician responsibilities:
- Conducting routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
- Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heating pumps.
- Accurately document failures and recommended repairs for home warranty claims
- Communicate with home warranty companies to explain diagnoses and secure repair approvals
- Provide clear, professional explanations to homeowners
- Complete work orders, photos, and paperwork in a timely manner
- Performing installations of new heating and cooling systems.
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting issues with electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
- Collaborating with team members and management to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines while on job sites.
- Timely completion of work orders.
Requirements
- Must be a EPA 608 Certified & Valid (Type II & III OR Universal) HVAC technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, including refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heating pumps
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be physically fit and able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Willingness to continue education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements
