HVAC Service Technician - Senior

Duties

• Conduct thorough diagnostics using specialized tools such as ohmmeters to evaluate electrical components and circuits.
• Perform precise repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Install, calibrate, and test new systems or machinery, providing detailed documentation of procedures and outcomes.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently, utilizing problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, in company management systems.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians to develop their technical skills and knowledge base.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding service findings, recommended actions, and maintenance schedules to foster trust and transparency.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role with a strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical issues to clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments with minimal supervision.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Relevant certifications or training in electrical systems or machinery maintenance are preferred.
