HVAC Service Technician | Take-Home Truck | No On-Call

Union HVAC is hiring an HVAC Service Technician for residential service work in the greater Charlotte area.

This is a field-service role for a technician who wants steady work, good pay, a take-home truck, and a local company that respects technicians. Most work is residential service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, with some light commercial service and install support as needed.

Pay & Schedule

• $25-$35 per hour based on experience and ability
• Full-time position
• Typical Monday-Friday schedule, with workdays generally beginning around 8:00 AM
• No current on-call rotation
• Overtime available as business needs require
• Take-home company truck and fuel card for qualified technicians

Service Area / Location

• Service Area: Greater Charlotte area
• Office/Shop: Indian Trail, NC
• Most work is performed in the field throughout the Charlotte area

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot heating and cooling issues
• Perform maintenance visits and system evaluations
• Perform light commercial HVAC service as needed
• Assist with equipment installations or replacements as needed
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers
• Document work performed and recommended repairs
• Keep company truck, tools, and work area organized

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on HVAC service, maintenance, install, mechanical, or troubleshooting experience
• Ability to diagnose problems and keep learning
• EPA Section 608 Certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
• Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor conditions
• Able to lift over 50 lbs repeatedly during the workday

This role is a good fit for someone who wants to keep growing as an HVAC technician without feeling like just another number at a large company. You should be able to work independently, but you will have support when needed.
