Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and secure sheet metal ductwork according to project specifications and schematics
• Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices such as ohmmeters to complete installations accurately
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot system issues related to air conditioning, refrigeration, or ventilation components during installation or service calls
• Perform maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment including boilers, refrigeration units, and appliances to ensure optimal operation
• Conduct field service work involving property maintenance, appliance repair, or mechanical system adjustments as needed
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working with ammonia refrigeration systems or other hazardous materials

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC ductwork installation and sheet metal fabrication
• Experience as a service technician in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems or property maintenance roles
• Ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately
• Mechanical knowledge covering plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning systems, and boiler operation
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Welding experience for duct fabrication or repairs; familiarity with equipment repair procedures
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R field service work
• Mechanical aptitude with a focus on appliance repair, maintenance tasks, and system troubleshooting
• Ability to work safely in environments involving refrigerants like ammonia or other hazardous substances

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
