Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Specialist (Maintenance Technician) to join our property management team at a residential apartment community in Decatur, GA. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems while supporting general maintenance operations to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across the property
- Diagnose and resolve HVAC issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units and related equipment
- Respond to maintenance service requests, including emergency calls, as needed
- Assist with general property maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local regulations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and service logs
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary
- Support unit turnovers, including HVAC inspections and repairs
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or Maintenance Technician in residential or commercial settings
- HVAC certification (EPA Certification required; additional certifications preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and repair techniques
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs/ladders for extended periods
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with occasional on-call responsibilities for emergency maintenance
