HVAC SR Technician - Low Temp

Al & Riley’s Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for a skilled and reliable HVAC Senior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings with emphisis on commercial Low Temp equipment. HVAC SR Technician - Low Temp, Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and repair of walk-in coolers and freezers
• Diagnosis and repair of reach-in refrigerators and freezers
• Commercial ice machine troubleshooting and repair
• Refrigeration system leak detection and repair
• Refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging
• Superheat and subcooling calculations
• Expansion valve (TXV/EEV) diagnosis and adjustment
• Hot gas bypass and head pressure control systems
• Defrost timer and defrost termination troubleshooting
• Low ambient refrigeration controls
• Refrigeration piping and brazing
• Pressure and temperature analysis
• Rack refrigeration systems knowledge
• Cascade and low-temperature freezer systems
• Electrical troubleshooting using meters and schematics
• Motor, contactor, relay, and capacitor diagnostics
• Control board and sensor troubleshooting
• Thermostat and electronic controller programming
• Preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems
• Ice machine descaling and sanitation procedures
• Water filtration systems for ice machines
• Drain line and condensate system repair
• Refrigeration oil management and compressor protection

Low Temp Equipment Experience:

• Walk-in coolers
• Walk-in freezers
• Reach-in coolers and freezers
• Under-counter refrigeration units
• Ice machines (cubers, flakers, nugget ice)
• Prep tables and sandwich stations
• Beverage coolers
• Display cases and merchandisers
• Blast chillers/freezers
• Remote condensing units
• Refrigerated warehouses and cold storage systems

HVAC Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
• HVAC certification or relevant experience
• EPA certification required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Must be able to work after hours and on weekends.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Pre-Employment drug screen required
