HVAC Support Driver / Parts Deliverer

Job Overview
Central Mechanical Corp is seeking a reliable and motivated Driver / Helper to support our HVAC and refrigeration team. Candidates must be comfortable driving in NYC. This role is essential to keeping our jobs running smoothly by transporting equipment, delivering parts, and assisting technicians in the field when needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company commercial vehicle to deliver HVAC parts, including towing a trailer with equipment such as a scissor lift, between job sites
• Pick up and deliver HVAC/refrigeration parts from supply houses and the office
• Assist technicians on job sites as needed
• Help load and unload equipment and materials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle and work areas
• Ensure timely deliveries and clear communication with office and field team
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be comfortable driving in NYC and navigating the 5 Boroughs
• Must understand commercial vehicle driving regulations, including restricted roads, parkways, and route planning
• Ability and confidence to drive a van with a trailer and transport equipment safely
• Comfortable handling and securing equipment (training provided if needed)
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (50+lbs)
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay in contact with the team throughout the day
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn and assist HVAC/refrigeration technicians
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus, but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction, HVAC, or delivery work
• Experience towing trailers and transporting equipment
• Familiarity with local supply houses and routes

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
