We are hiring an experienced HVAC Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced product support and troubleshooting assistance to contractor customers, field technicians, and internal sales teams.
This role is designed for an experienced HVAC professional who understands how commercial systems operate in the field and can confidently diagnose installation, startup, controls, and service-related issues. Rather than performing routine administrative support, you will serve as a technical resource for customers working with a broad range of HVAC equipment and control systems.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial HVAC service, controls, commissioning, or field support and is ready to apply that experience in a customer-facing technical support position.
What You’ll Do

Serve as the primary technical contact for contractors installing, servicing, and troubleshooting represented HVAC equipment

Diagnose equipment, installation, controls, startup, and performance issues through phone, email, and remote technical support

Guide field technicians through troubleshooting procedures and recommended corrective actions

Support HVAC equipment commissioning, startup, and system integration questions

Assist the sales team with technical product questions, equipment applications, and service-related customer needs

Review equipment documentation, wiring diagrams, control sequences, and system specifications

Help develop and interpret HVAC control sequences based on project and customer requirements

Support communication and integration between equipment and controls from multiple manufacturers

Document recurring technical issues and help identify opportunities to improve customer support and product training

Coordinate with manufacturers, internal teams, and customers when additional technical resources are required
Requirements-
5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems

Strong troubleshooting knowledge across a variety of HVAC equipment and applications

Experience as an HVAC Service Technician, Controls Technician, BAS Technician, Field Service Engineer, Applications Engineer, or similar technical role

Knowledge of equipment such as chillers, rooftop units, VAV systems, air-handling equipment, and related commercial HVAC products

Familiarity with building automation systems, DDC controls, BACnet, commissioning, and equipment startup is strongly preferred

Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, equipment submittals, and control sequences

Experience working with cross-manufacturer control communication and system integration is a plus

Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to contractors and field technicians

Ability to independently evaluate technical problems and recommend practical solutions

High school diploma or GED required

Two-year HVAC degree or related technical education preferred
