Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HVAC professional to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist. This role is heavily focused on supporting licensed HVAC contractors and installers with the proper installation, wiring, configuration, and troubleshooting of our smart thermostat systems across a variety of residential and light commercial HVAC setups.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level HVAC technical support to contractors via phone, email, and chat
• Conventional (1H/1C, multi-stage)
• Heat pump systems (with/without auxiliary heat)
• Dual fuel systems
• Furnace and air handler configurations
• Troubleshoot thermostat communication, Wi-Fi connectivity, and control board integration
• Document recurring field issues and contribute to technical documentation and installation guides
• Collaborate with engineering on product improvements based on field feedback

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC field experience (installer, service technician, or similar role)
• Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring and HVAC control systems AND THERMOSTATS
• Proven experience working with heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, and multi-stage systems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and equipment schematics
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting contractors or providing technical guidance remotely
• Familiarity with smart thermostats and IoT-based HVAC controls (NUVE Thermostats +)
• Understanding of zoning systems and advanced controls

Work Environment:

• Some hybrid work options available
• May include extended hours during peak HVAC seasons (summer/winter)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
