HVAC Technician

Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role ensures that all HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems using testing equipment and technical manuals.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Replace or repair worn or defective parts such as motors, belts, fans, and compressors.
• Adjust system controls to balance heating, cooling, and ventilation to achieve desired performance.
• Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance logs and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and building regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients or building occupants to explain work performed and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with other maintenance or engineering staff on building systems projects.
