HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including AC units, ducting, vents, thermostats, and related components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC units to ensure optimal operation and prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC issues such as refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, faulty motors, thermostat malfunctions, and electrical faults.
• Inspect and clean coils, filters, blowers, ducts, drain lines, and condensers.
• Test system performance using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools.
• Refill and handle refrigerants following environmental and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot electrical control systems related to HVAC units.
• Respond promptly to service requests, breakdowns, and emergency repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety procedures at all times.
• Coordinate with supervisors, building maintenance staff, and contractors for installation or major repairs.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and refrigeration principles.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and service manuals.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Certification in HVAC or refrigeration (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
