HVAC Technician

Job Objective

Future Scaffolding & Aluminium Industries is seeking a qualified Industrial HVAC Technician to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of all air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems across our office and factory facilities.

This role is critical in maintaining a safe working environment and protecting electrical and electronic equipment from excessive heat. Systems include central air conditioning units, split units, chillers, cooling towers, and industrial ventilation systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Routine Maintenance

• Perform preventive maintenance programs including:
• Cleaning filters
• Checking refrigerant levels
• Cleaning condensers and evaporators

2. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose and repair faults in compressors, fans, expansion valves, and thermostats.
• Ensure rapid response to system breakdowns to minimize downtime.

3. Industrial Cooling Systems

• Maintain factory panel coolers to prevent overheating and operational shutdowns.
• Monitor cooling performance within production areas.

4. Refrigerant Gas Handling

• Charge refrigerants and detect leaks using specialized tools.
• Handle refrigerants (R134a, R410a, R22) safely and in compliance with environmental standards.

5. Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain air conditioner motors.
• Replace belts and lubricate bearings.
• Read and interpret electrical circuits related to HVAC systems.

6. Ventilation Systems

• Maintain exhaust fans and air intake systems.
• Ensure proper airflow and ventilation throughout production halls.

7. Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.

Required Qualifications

• Education: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certificate in HVAC or related specialization.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in industrial HVAC systems, preferably:
• Central air conditioning systems
• Package units
• Chillers

(Industrial experience preferred over residential systems.)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in oxy-acetylene soldering for copper piping.
• Strong ability to read and interpret HVAC electrical circuits.
• Knowledge of various refrigerants and safe handling procedures.
• Practical experience with industrial cooling and ventilation systems.

Soft Skills & Physical Requirements

• Quick response to emergency malfunctions.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work at heights (factory rooftops).
• Ability to work in changing weather conditions, including high temperatures during outdoor maintenance.
• Physically fit to perform demanding industrial tasks.
