A well-established plumbing company is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and field service experience, with the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of HVAC systems. This role involves working on commercial and residential properties, ensuring optimal climate control and system efficiency. Candidates with experience in refrigeration, plumbing, boiler systems, and equipment repair are highly valued. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites. Pay: $27+/hr DOE

Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform service technician tasks such as equipment repair, system calibration, and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when necessary.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
- Weld or perform other mechanical repairs on HVAC components as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience as an HVAC technician with a focus on residential service.
- Must provide all basic tools needed to perform service work, other specialty tools will be provided.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in schematics, HVAC design principles, and equipment repair techniques.
- Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and appliance repair is desirable.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Field service experience with a focus on air conditioning systems and equipment troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments requiring physical activity such as lifting or climbing ladders.
- EPA License required
- Nate and Air Flow certifications are a plus.
