HVAC Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical services across various properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety standards are met. Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure peak performance and longevity.
• Conduct plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe repairs or replacements as needed.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical faults within HVAC systems.
• Operate welding equipment for repairs or modifications of metal components in HVAC units.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed in compliance with safety standards.
• Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Assist with property maintenance tasks including appliance repair and general mechanical troubleshooting when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to refrigerants like ammonia and other hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R systems.
• Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation projects.
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles.
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and general equipment repair.
• Experience in field service operations with a focus on appliance repair and property maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
• Skilled in welding techniques for metal fabrication or repairs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
• Certifications in HVAC/R technology; additional certifications in refrigeration or boiler operation are advantageous.

Pay: $28.93 - $34.84 per hour
