Established A/C company in Fort Lauderdale is looking for a reliable and hardworking A/C Technician and Helper to join our team immediately.

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across diverse property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal comfort, safety, and efficiency for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
• Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and preventive upkeep to maximize equipment lifespan
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment; repair or replace faulty components as needed
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and refrigerant line adjustments
• Diagnose complex issues involving ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) units in commercial settings
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all work performed for accountability and future reference

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems; construction background is a plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and interpret technical diagrams
• Experience with HVAC design principles and property maintenance practices
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment
• Skilled in plumbing repairs related to heating and cooling systems; experience with appliance repair is advantageous
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are a plus for equipment repair or fabrication tasks
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
