HB McClure is hiring experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our York service territory.
Starting compensation is around $32/hour based on experience, plus a $2,500 hiring bonus for qualified technicians. Even better, our on-call rotation averages only about 2–3 times per year.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
Service equipment including RTUs, split systems, refrigeration systems, VRFs, boilers, chillers, and VAV systems
Troubleshoot electrical and control circuits
Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations
Work safely and independently while maintaining high quality workmanship
Participate in an on-call rotation averaging only about 2–3 times per year
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to safely perform job duties, understand technical documentation, and interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with electrical schematics, refrigeration practices, and control circuits
Ability to work independently in the field
EPA certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, and rooftops
