Position Overview:

SunTrust Remodeling, in partnership with our sister company Universal Heating & Air, is seeking a skilled and licensed HVAC Technician (EPA 608 Certified) to join our growing team. This role includes both residential and commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair work across Southern California.

We are expanding our service capabilities and are looking for technicians who can work confidently in both home and commercial environments, delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and system tune-ups
• Handle HVAC system replacements, upgrades, and retrofits
• Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and California building codes
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in proper working condition
• Document completed work, service reports, and material usage

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with leading or running HVAC projects/jobs (residential or commercial) on your own; not just as an Assistant or Helper.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in HVAC System Installation and Servicing for Residential and Commercial
• Active EPA 608 Certification (Required)
• Proven experience in HVAC installation, service, and repair
• Residential HVAC experience required; commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigerants, and HVAC diagnostics
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Hourly Pay Rate: $25/hr. - $35/hr. (plus bonus opportunities)
