Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing, refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration systems, and property maintenance tasks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair or replace faulty components on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using field service techniques; repair appliances and equipment efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
• Operate company vehicles safely as a <PERSON> driver when traveling between job sites; adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols.

Experience

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical components.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment repair, welding techniques, appliance repair, boiler operation, and general maintenance procedures.
• Field service experience working directly on-site at commercial or residential properties; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
