HVAC Vocational Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging theoretical and practical HVAC lessons.
• Teach core areas including refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and system maintenance.
• Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Conduct workplace (on-the-job) assessments, including site visits to evaluate learner competence in real working environments.
• Liaise with employers and supervisors to monitor learner performance and progress.
• Review workplace evidence such as job logs, portfolios, and practical tasks to ensure competency standards are met.
• Monitor learner progress and implement support strategies to ensure achievement.
• Maintain accurate assessment and progress records in line with quality assurance requirements.
• Promote safe working practices in both training and workplace settings.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.

Essential:

• Minimum of a degree qualification Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
• Strong hands-on industry experience in HVAC systems
• Relevant HVAC certifications
• Passion for teaching and developing learners
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
