HVAC/Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role's primary focus will be diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems. In addition, applicants will work on maintenance and repair tasks across various systems, including plumbing, commercial dehumidifiers, and other mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have HVAC certification (EPA 608 Type II or Universal) as well as experience in service technician roles, with strong knowledge of HVAC design and mechanical maintenance. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between sites. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring the optimal operation of facilities and equipment.

Duties

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC systems, dehumidifiers, and mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, air conditioning, and mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
• Service and maintain refrigeration systems and HVAC/R equipment
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for system diagnostics and repairs
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and testing
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity
• Assist with property maintenance tasks including general repairs
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each job

Qualifications

• HVAC certification
• Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar construction/maintenance role with a focus on HVAC systems
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance
• Familiarity with HVAC design principles, schematics, plumbing, refrigeration, and commercial dehumidifiers
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
• Valid driver’s license required
• Knowledge of HVAC/R standards, field service procedures, and safety regulations is essential
• Additional skills such as mechanic experience

This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling diverse maintenance tasks efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met at all times.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
