HVAC/Plumbing Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented HVAC/Plumbing Estimator to join our growing construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and plumbing projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Your expertise will help drive project success from initial bidding through project execution, supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional construction solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop precise estimates that align with project goals and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive HVAC and plumbing estimates.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
• Conduct site visits to gather accurate measurements and assess existing conditions for precise pricing.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate prices, terms, and scope of work to optimize project costs.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and bid summaries for review by management.
• Assist in the development of project budgets, schedules, and cost control strategies throughout the bidding process.
• Support contract negotiations by providing technical input on scope, and pricing related to HVAC and plumbing components.
• Maintain organized records of all estimate documentation, correspondence, and revisions for transparency and future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retrofit estimating with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of construction site operations, cost control measures, and pricing strategies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents accurately.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams at all levels.
• Construction site experience is a plus; relevant certifications or training in construction estimating or management are advantageous. Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
