Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately service complex equipment.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and troubleshoot issues related to water supply and drainage systems within the facility.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance logs.
- Assist with field service tasks including appliance repair, property maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting on-site.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliances.
- Proven service technician experience in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Skilled in plumbing repairs, welding techniques, and equipment repair procedures.
- Familiarity with field service operations involving air conditioning units and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
