HVAC/R Parts Associate

Qualified candidates for the Parts Associate should possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Experience working in the HVAC/R or plumbing industry.
  • A basic understanding of HVAC/R equipment, supplies, and products.
  • Previous experience trouble-shooting mechanical systems a strong plus.
  • Basic language skills. Able to read and comprehend basic instructions and write basic correspondence. Able to effectively present information to customers and company staff. Must be fluent in English.
  • Basic reasoning ability. Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Basic computer skills. Individual must learn/develop competency in the company’s computer system, and able to look up parts lookup various parts.
  • Basic mathematical skills. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and maintain a valid US drivers license.
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player who is flexible and adaptable with changing business needs.
  • Must obtain forklift certification.
  • Must be able to work a maximum of 40 hours weekly and overtime as required.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk, lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs. and the knowledge of material handling equipment in order to safely move product weighing more than 60 pounds.

An overview of responsibilities include:

  • Service our technicians and customers. Assist with sourcing and shipping parts, inventory control and warranty administration.
  • Researching products via computer system, catalog, telephone or other reference sources.
  • Take technician orders, either over the phone or through the computer system, and stage the orders for technicians to pick up.
  • Provides basic sales support to installation and service department, including pricing and availability.
  • Assists warehouse staff in putting away incoming vendor shipments, and processing returns.
  • Performs parts lookup using manufacturer’s and vendor software.
  • Process and tracks orders.
  • Assists at semi-annual physical inventories.
  • Cycle counts inventory, and restocking product.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
