HVAC/R Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of HVAC/R equipment across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety for our clients. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and plumbing fixtures.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Conduct equipment repairs using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; replace or refurbish components as needed.
• Install new HVAC/R systems following industry standards and project specifications; ensure proper calibration and operation.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues involving ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized equipment.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed; communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommended actions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations; operate company vehicles responsibly adhering to all driving requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair with at least five years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC design or property maintenance is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and refrigeration system layouts.
• Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are advantageous.
• Field service experience working on residential and commercial equipment of all types, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, or commercial HVAC equipment.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
