HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician with at least 3-5 years experience minimum to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial HVAC systems, ensuring comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, field service experience, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems per design specifications and schematics
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC/R equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and schematics
• Diagnose system failures and complete repairs efficiently
• Repair and replace compressors, motors, valves, piping (including plumbing), and electrical wiring
• Perform welding and other mechanical repairs as needed
• Service commercial refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units
• Read and interpret HVAC design plans and wiring diagrams
• Maintain accurate service records, including repairs performed and parts used
• Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain a clean driving record
• Assist with HVAC-related property maintenance and general building upkeep

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean criminal record due to required access to federal buildings and or base access
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, ventilation, and ammonia refrigeration
• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• HVAC Journeyman License (preferred)
• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
• Maintain clean job sites, vehicles, and work areas
• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician
• Ability to read and understand HVAC schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong mechanical skills including plumbing, welding, and electrical troubleshooting
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
• Knowledge of HVAC/R safety standards and refrigerant handling procedures
• Experience working with boilers and large-scale heating equipment preferred
• Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery used in HVAC service
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
