We are looking for a talented HVAC/R Technician Co-op who is responsible for following and assisting with refrigeration system repairs, installation, and maintenance. You will also be responsible for communication with the field supervisor and the administrative staff.

Main Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist with refrigeration system repairs, installation, maintenance, and updates.
  • Assist the other senior Field Service Technicians, HVAC Manufacturing Business Unit engineers and Sales departments as required.
  • Work closely with other Team members and departments to ensure all needs are met.
  • Assist with AC/DC, Electrical Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Wiring, Calibration, Cooling, and Electrical Controls.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex refrigeration issues.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Safety Standards.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere and perform all duties aligned with the core values of the LINK Group organization, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, Commitment, Humility and Accountability.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in an HVAC/R education program, preferably seeking an associate’s degree.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability and willingness to learn about new products and features.
  • Ability to work well in a Team.
  • High attention to detail for Customer satisfaction.
  • Keep up with new techniques and technologies in the field.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computer-based file structures.
  • Willingness to continue formal education by attending trade related classes, community college courses related to the HVAC/R industry.
  • Mechanical aptitude displayed through hobbies, interests and past experiences.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to speak verbally, and read in English
  • Ability to walk.
  • Ability to see with corrective lenses.
  • Ability to hear.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Able to work overtime, evenings and/or weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
