Role Overview:

Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is urgently seeking an HVDC Compliance Engineer with strong expertise in CE marking, EU regulatory compliance, and ATEX / PED certification for offshore HVDC projects. The role will lead compliance activities for HVAC and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems, ensuring full conformity with European directives and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead CE marking and EU regulatory compliance activities for offshore HVDC systems
  • Ensure compliance with EU Directives: Machinery Directive, LVD, ATEX, PED, MED, and CPR
  • Review and validate vendor equipment certifications, technical dossiers, and compliance documents
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, vendors, and notified bodies
  • Perform and lead risk assessments and prepare Declarations of Conformity (DoC)
  • Develop, maintain, and control compliance matrices, technical files, and traceability records
  • Oversee DGUV V3 and ATEX compliance for Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) packages
  • Support HVAC self-certification, Mechanical Completion (MC), and ITR handover activities
  • Track certification progress, identify compliance gaps, and drive timely closure
  • Provide guidance and training on CE marking and EU regulatory requirements to project teams


Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in CE marking, certification, or regulatory compliance(Offshore, Renewables, or HVDC project experience preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of ATEX, PED, MED, CPR, DGUV V3, and LVD
  • Proven experience in DoC / CoC validation and technical file preparation
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, conformity assessment, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
