Hybrid Human Resources Recruiter (Generalist)

A nonprofit healthcare center is seeking a Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist to join its Human Resources team in Westchester. This is a hybrid position.


This role will support recruitment and retention efforts with a primary focus on healthcare and patient services vacancies. The Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist will work closely with Talent Acquisition leadership and hiring managers to support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, payroll-related processes, and general HR department operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment for healthcare, patient services, entry-level, technical, and professional roles
  • Maintain approved requisitions, vacancy logs, and job postings
  • Source candidates through job boards, community outreach, schools, recruitment apps, career fairs, and DEI-focused channels
  • Review resumes and conduct preliminary candidate interviews
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Process background checks in accordance with policy
  • Prepare salary-setting documentation, offers, and onboarding paperwork
  • Coordinate personnel files and new hire documentation
  • Support New Employee Training on a rotational schedule
  • Assist with internal recruitment, transfers, and workforce development efforts
  • Serve as an HRIS resource for ADP Workforce Now
  • Support employee lifecycle transactions, benefits enrollment, payroll authorizations, and HR data entry
  • Coordinate HR forms and files for payroll and finance processing
  • Provide general HR department support as needed


Qualifications:

  • Prior recruitment experience required; healthcare recruitment experience preferred
  • 1–2 years of Human Resources Management, HR Generalist, or related HR experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
  • Payroll, HRIS, benefits enrollment, or employee lifecycle transaction experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Professional, customer-focused approach
  • Comfortable supporting a mission-driven healthcare organization


Compensation : $65,000–$75,000 annually.
