Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydraulic Cylinder Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic cylinders and related heavy equipment components. Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance and safety of machinery used across various industries, including construction, agriculture, and industrial operations. Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues with hydraulic cylinders, including leaks, wear, and structural damage using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace hydraulic seals, rods, pistons, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate custom hydraulic parts or modifications to meet specific operational needs, ensuring OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, tractors, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
- Conduct thorough inspections of hydraulic systems on equipment like farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets to ensure safety and reliability.
- Utilize electrical diagnostics skills to troubleshoot related electrical components within hydraulic systems.
- Maintain detailed service records, follow safety protocols during heavy lifting or welding tasks, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on hydraulics in dealership or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, OEM specifications, and mechanical systems related to heavy equipment.
- Hands-on fabrication experience with welding, soldering, and assembly of hydraulic components.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers.
- Ability to read technical manuals and perform automotive diagnostics on diesel engines and transmissions.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance machinery.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, working at heights or confined spaces as needed for repairs.

$25-$35 per Hour based on experience and/or knowledge.
