Hydraulic Technician Role

Hydraulic technicians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing any issues related to hydraulic systems. They inspect, maintain and troubleshoot components such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, accumulators and filters. They must possess a comprehensive knowledge of hydraulics and have the ability to repair and replace damaged parts.

Hydraulic Technician Duties

• Inspect, maintain and repair hydraulic systems and components
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic systems
• Install new hydraulic systems and components
• Perform tests on hydraulic components and systems
• Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in hydraulic systems
• Keep up to date with advances in hydraulic engineering
• Document work carried out and maintain records
• Comply with health and safety regulations

Hydraulic Technician Requirements

• Able to carry out maintenance and repair on hydraulic systems
• Experience in using hand and power tools
• Experience in diagnosing faults and repairing hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic diagrams
• Ability to work as part of a team
