IAM Automation & Workflow Engineer

Job Title :: Application Engineer - LMS, Cloud & AI Platforms Location :Rockville, MD

PFA.. Responsibilities:- Lead the migration of legacy Learning Management Systems (e.g., Saba) to modern cloud-based LMS platforms such as Docebo or similar solutions.

Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and cloud-native AWS architectures.

Build automation and AI-enabled capabilities on top of LMS platforms, including intelligent agents, workflow automation, and data-driven insights.

Develop integrations with enterprise systems such as Workday and other HR or learning ecosystems.

Review and analyze software and hardware configurations across development, test, and production environments.

Create, manage, and maintain product builds, release processes, and development/test code baselines.

Recommend and implement improvements in configuration management, build pipelines, and release processes.

Develop Python-based automation and AI workflows where applicable.

Implement and support software configuration management and version control practices.

Design and implement automated testing and quality engineering practices.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues across environments and platforms.

Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and engineering teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

Document architecture, solutions, and operational processes while providing regular status updates and metrics.

Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team.

Participate in process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with security, governance, and company standards.

Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, cloud, and enterprise learning platforms.

Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. 7+ years of experience in software engineering with strong Java programming expertise.

Hands-on experience developing applications on AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, ECS, API Gateway, IAM).

Strong experience in software configuration management, build processes, and release automation.

Experience managing code baselines and supporting development and test environments.

Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations and APIs.

Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including testing and automation.

Experience with Learning Management Systems and enterprise learning ecosystems.

Experience in Agile software development environments.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to lead initiatives, take ownership, and adapt in dynamic environments.

Preferred : Experience with AI and machine learning engineering, particularly building intelligent agents and automation workflows.

Hands-on experience with Python for automation, AI, or data-driven solutions.

Experience with AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock or similar model ecosystems.

Experience with LMS platforms such as Docebo, Cornerstone, or similar solutions.

Experience with HR and talent systems such as Workday.

Experience building automation testing frameworks.

Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.

Exposure to generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI-enabled productivity tools.

Experience leading modernization or migration initiatives.
