Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed DP Economics Teacher to join our IB Diploma Programme team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Economics, a passion for teaching, and the ability to guide students in developing economic knowledge, analytical thinking, and real-world application skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver well-structured and engaging Economics lessons aligned with the IBDP curriculum.
• Encourage students to apply economic theories and concepts to global and local contexts.
• Foster analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills through interactive teaching methods.
• Provide individual support and constructive feedback to students to enhance their performance.
• Design, assess, and evaluate formative and summative assessments in line with IBDP standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning, internal assessments, and interdisciplinary learning.
• Organise and support economics-related events, discussions, and school-wide initiatives.
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and collaborative learning.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Economics with the ability to connect theory to real-world scenarios.
• Excellent command of English with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Effective classroom management and interpersonal skills to foster positive student engagement.
• Creative, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital tools (Windows/macOS/Linux, G Suite, Google Meet, Zoom, etc.).
• Prior teaching experience in the IBDP framework (preferred but not mandatory).

Work Time

DP: 7:40 AM to 3:45 PM (Monday to Saturday)
