Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an IB English Teacher at Riffa Views International School, located in Riffa, Bahrain, for the academic year 2026-2027. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons aligned with the IB curriculum, fostering critical thinking and literacy skills. Additional responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assessing students’ progress, facilitating active learning, and contributing to the overall academic and cultural environment of the school. Classroom management, communication with parents, and collaboration with colleagues are also essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English Teaching, with demonstrated expertise in delivering lessons effectively and in alignment with curriculum standards
• Experience in Lesson Planning and designing engaging educational activities to meet diverse student needs
• Background in Education and Teaching, with a clear understanding of best practices in pedagogy and student development
• Strong Communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues in an inclusive and professional manner
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
• Teaching certification or licensure appropriate to the role
• Adaptability and cultural sensitivity to thrive in an international and diverse environment
