About The Role
The Hillridge International School is seeking a dynamic and experienced IB PYP Homeroom Teacher who is passionate about inquiry-driven learning and committed to developing internationally minded learners.
The ideal candidate is a reflective practitioner who can create a stimulating, student-centered environment aligned with the philosophy and standards of the IB Primary Years Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and deliver transdisciplinary Units of Inquiry aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Foster inquiry-based, concept-driven learning experiences
- Promote the IB Learner Profile attributes in everyday classroom practices
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners
- Develop authentic assessment strategies and maintain student portfolios
- Integrate technology meaningfully into teaching and learning
- Create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative classroom culture
- Engage in collaborative planning with grade-level and specialist teachers
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, exhibitions, and professional development
- Maintain effective communication with parents and stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Education or relevant discipline
- B.Ed. (Mandatory)
- IB PYP Training / Category 1, 2 or 3 workshops preferred
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in an IB PYP setting
- Strong understanding of concept-based and transdisciplinary learning
