Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings with enthusiasm.
• Prepare food items according to safety standards, including scooping ice cream, creating sundaes, and handling food with proper sanitation.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including giving correct change and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Upsell additional items like toppings or specialty desserts to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, counters, and equipment by following sanitation protocols and food safety guidelines.
• Assist with food prep tasks such as stocking supplies, bussing tables, and ensuring the overall tidiness of the café or retail space.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are most important!
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS will help you hit the ground running.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and basic math skills for cash handling are highly valuable.
• Experience working in a fast-paced setting such as a café or grocery store will support your success in managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills combined with time management abilities will enable you to create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining speed and accuracy during busy periods.
