Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
• Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Operate POS systems such as Clover POS or Toast POS to process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and give correct change while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
• Upsell additional menu items or promotions to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Assist with food preparation tasks like scooping, topping assembly, and basic kitchen duties when needed.
• Support team members with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.

Skills

• Experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Clover POS or Toast POS to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining experience.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
• Previous restaurant experience or familiarity with the food industry is a plus; retail or grocery store experience can also be beneficial.
