ICU Staff Nurse

1. Use their advanced skills to care for patients who are critically ill and at high risk for life threatening health problems.

2. Works in critical care unit of hospital or healthcare facility and look after patients who have experiment invasive measure surgery accidents, trauma organ failure.

3. Identify patient’s age specific needs and alter care plans as necessary to meet those needs.

4. Evaluate patient’s vital signs and laboratory data to determine emergency intervention needs.

5. Administer medications IV by injections orally through gastric tubes or by other method.

6. Set up and monitor medical equipment’s and devices such as cardiac monitors mechanical ventilators and alarms oxygen delivery devise transducers and pressure lines.

7. Compile and analyze obtained from monitoring or diagnostic tests.

8. Documents patient’s medical history and assessment findings.

9. Participate in developments review and evaluation of nursing practice protocols.

10. Supervise and monitor unit nursing staff.

11. Provide support and education that can help patients and their designated surrogate make the best decisions possible.
