- Provide round-the-clock nursing care to patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including heart rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and temperature.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and injections as per the doctor’s orders.
- Assist physicians during clinical rounds, intubations, catheterizations, and other ICU procedures.
- Maintain and operate critical care equipment, including ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the treating physician immediately.
- Ensure proper documentation of nursing assessments, medication charts, and daily progress notes.
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure aseptic techniques are followed at all times.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring comfort and communication.
- Participate in emergency response situations (e.g., Code Blue) and perform CPR or BLS as required.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (doctors, technicians, physiotherapists) to ensure holistic care.
- Ensure cleanliness, readiness, and adequate stock of ICU equipment and consumables.
Requirements:
- Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing (Registration with State Nursing Council is mandatory/ INC)
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in ICU / Critical Care Unit
- Skills:
- Sound knowledge of ICU procedures and equipment
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in emergencies
