Role Description
The Identity Automation Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of identity governance and administration (IGA) solutions, with a focus on Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud (EIC). This role drives scalable identity automation that supports secure, compliant, and efficient access across the enterprise.
This role acts as a technical leader and subject matter expert, owning complex identity lifecycle processes and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution of identity services. The engineer partners closely with Security, Infrastructure, Application, and Compliance teams to deliver integrated identity solutions aligned to business and regulatory requirements.
The role embraces the Ralliant Business System (RBS) by embedding operational discipline, staff training, and continuous improvement into tools, workflows, and standard work so cyber defense is scalable, measurable, and repeatable. The role operates in service to the enterprise and Operating Companies (OpCos), ensuring standardized identity practices while adapting to regional and business-specific needs. It also provides operational coverage for U.S. Government regulated environments and business, including CMMC aligned environments and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of Saviynt EIC-based identity solutions , including identity lifecycle management, access requests, and certifications. Own and drive end-to-end identity lifecycle automation (joiner, mover, leaver), reducing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency. Design and develop advanced Saviynt workflows, rules, REST integrations, and custom connectors across enterprise systems (HR, Active Directory, Azure AD, SaaS platforms). Serve as a technical SME for Saviynt , defining platform standards, best practices, and architectural patterns. Partner with Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure seamless integration of identity services across systems and environments. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex identity and access issues , including performance optimization and scalability improvements. Support compliance and audit requirements by ensuring identity processes align with regulatory and governance frameworks . Drive automation and DevOps practices within identity engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management. Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing, promoting consistent and high-quality delivery. Maintain documentation including technical designs, workflows, configurations, and operational procedures . Contribute to identity strategy and roadmap planning, identifying opportunities to enhance automation, security, and user experience. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree recommended; equivalent experience considered. 10+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM/IGA) with strong engineering and development focus. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Saviynt EIC , including workflows, rules, connectors, and integrations. Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages , with experience building scalable integrations. Experience designing and implementing identity lifecycle automation at enterprise scale. Strong understanding of access governance models (RBAC/ABAC) and compliance requirements. Experience integrating with Active Directory, Azure AD, and enterprise/cloud applications . Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, and web services . Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling . Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines). Experience supporting regulated or customer driven security requirements, including U.S. Government environments; familiarity with CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 aligned expectations preferred. Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact. Ability to operate effectively across enterprise and OpCo environments, balancing global consistency with local context across multiple time zones and culture.
