IELTS / PTE Instructor

Job Overview:

As an IELTS & PTE Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in empowering aspiring students to achieve their academic and immigration goals. You will deliver dynamic training, tailor learning strategies, and guide students with confidence and clarity ensuring they are fully equipped to succeed in their exams and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive and engaging IELTS and PTE lessons covering Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking for both Academic and General modules.
• Create and update customized course materials, practice exercises, study plans, and mock tests that reflect current exam standards.
• Administer diagnostic and mock assessments, provide insightful feedback, and implement strategies to boost performance and confidence.
• Offer one-on-one coaching, adapt lesson delivery to individual learning styles, and motivate students to reach their target scores.
• Mentor learners on exam strategies, time management, anxiety reduction, and fluent English communication.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and progress; collaborate seamlessly with academic coordinators and visa consultants to reinforce Empire’s end-to-end student support approach.
• Keep abreast of updates to IELTS and PTE exam formats and best practices while integrating modern teaching tools and methods into lessons.
• Champion transparency, clarity, and student-first care ensuring every learner feels informed and supported throughout their journey.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience in IELTS and/or PTE training with a record of student success.
• In-depth understanding of exam patterns, marking schemes, and scoring rubrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patience, motivation, and adaptability to diverse learning styles.
• Proficiency in using digital tools, online teaching platforms, and multimedia resources.
