IL/AL/SNF Collection Specialist

Job Overview

· Travel to each location as needed

· Work with community administration to hire, train, and manage performance of IL and AL business office team members as the communities, as needed.

· Complete and/or maintain reports as needed.

· Coordinate with business office to ensure accurate census at all times

· Complete census for facility, as needed

· Oversee collection activities for private payors to meet 98% collection rate in communities.

· Collections (Collections policy, notes, elevate to collections attorney and/or collection agency as needed)

· Complete all Billing for IL/AL and SNF facilities.

· Manage the teams and the following business office functions at each location;

· Census

· Apply payments (Post cash, check, ACH, and credit card)

· Ancillary Charges

· Manage the write off process for accounts deemed uncollectable

· Must have excellent communication and foster strong relationships between the business office, the department heads, and Administration.

· Ensure 30-day notice for non-payment is issued as needed by Administration and the business office.

· Complete RFMS filings for facility as needed. Manage RFMS accounts for activities and payments.

· Review and analyze credits and prepare private refunds, as needed.

· Coordinate annual increases with the Business Office per the resident admissions agreement and Kavana Policy.

· Identify issues and resolve

· Identify areas of opportunity and work with the team to improve performance as needed

· Analyze and compare data

· Various projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience with billing and collections and some general ledger/financial analysis experience.

· Knowledge of Point Click Care System. Not required, but preferred.

· Proficiency in reviewing financial data and able to analyze such financial data to provide useful information to executives.

· Able to use a photocopier, adding machine, computer, and experienced with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel), word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word), and email software (e.g., Microsoft Outlook).

· Possess refined interpersonal and telephone communication skills.

Education and Certification:

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
