In this role you will be:
- Safely transport patients (ambulatory, wheelchair-bound, or on stretchers) to and from imaging rooms, inpatient units, emergency departments, and other hospital areas.
- Assist patients in preparing for imaging procedures (e.g., removing jewelry, changing into gowns).
- Support imaging technologists and nurses with patient positioning and preparation under appropriate supervision.
- Maintain accurate transport logs, communicate patient movement status, and coordinate timing to reduce delays.
- Clean and prepare imaging rooms between procedures, including sanitizing equipment and changing linens as needed.
- Respond promptly to transport requests using hospital communication systems.
- Monitor and report any patient concerns, unusual behavior, or physical issues during transport.
- Ensure all safety and infection control protocols are followed during patient handling and equipment use.
- Deliver specimens, documents, and imaging supplies when required.
- Support departmental workflow by restocking supplies and assisting with general administrative or logistical tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED equivalent required
- EXPERIENCE: Prior hospital or patient care experience preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
