Imaging Specialist II

About the Role:

As an Imaging Specialist II, you will play a pivotal role in the organization's imaging and document management processes. Leveraging advanced technical skills and expertise, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining imaging equipment, digitizing documents, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of digital files. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in imaging software, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-speed document scanners to convert paper documents into digital format, ensuring optimal image quality and resolution.
  • Utilize imaging software to enhance image quality, adjust brightness and contrast, and remove imperfections or artifacts as needed to produce clear and legible digital images.
  • Assign metadata tags or index codes to digital files to facilitate organization, retrieval, and searchability of documents within electronic databases or document management systems.
  • Conduct quality checks on scanned images to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime, reporting any issues or malfunctions to appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Prioritize and manage imaging tasks according to established deadlines and priorities, coordinating with team members or supervisors as needed to meet project requirements.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and data security measures to protect sensitive information contained in scanned documents, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to imaging equipment or software, implementing corrective actions and escalating complex issues to technical support or IT staff as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains in imaging and document management workflows, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of imaging activities, including scanning logs, maintenance records, and quality assurance documentation, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements and audit standards.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in document imaging, scanning, or related field.
  • Proficiency in operating document scanners and imaging software, such as Adobe Acrobat, Kofax, or similar tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in scanning and indexing documents.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of document management systems and electronic filing structures preferred.
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities and workflows as needed.

Pay Disclosure:

The pay range for this position starts at $17 /hr.; however, base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
